The second day of the training event for Nodes will focus on a new data type that GBIF will accept for publishing soon: sample-based data. We will also work on how to overcome the social challenges hindering biodiversity data publishing. This event is open for Nodes staff, with a focus on Node managers. Global Nodes meeting Day 1

Venue: Madagascar Development Learning Center, Multimedia Room
13th meeting of the GBIF Participant Node Managers Committee. This meeting is open to members of the committee. Nodes staff are also invited to come to the meeting, if space allows.
The first day will concentrate on the forward looking strategies of GBIF, and will include break-out groups on specific topics. In the morning, several presentations will be accessible online (please note this will only be offered if there is sufficient interest for online participation). Global Nodes meeting Day 2

The second day of the 13th meeting of the GBIF Participant Node Managers Committee will concentrate on the agreement of a Nodes Committee work plan up to the 14th global Nodes meeting in 2017. The GBIF Public Symposium 2015

The 2015 Public Symposium will present achievements from across the GBIF network during the past year, highlighting innovative programmes and policy-relevant applications. Those unable to attend the symposium in person will have access to all presentations soon after the event.
The symposium is open to the public and press as well but pre-registation is necessary.

Visit to the National Park of Andasibe (Mantadia National Park)
Meeting point and time: 6:15 at the Hotel Paon d'or
After the end of the official meetings, the local organizers kindly offer the GB22 attendees the possibility to visit the National Park of Andasibe (Mantadia National Park). Participation in this excursion requires pre-registration and should be done via the GB22 meeting registration system.
